The Trailblazer . . . The Trail is a Symbol for How Far We have to Go and How Far We’ve Come

In a pursuit to broaden my horizon, I have found myself to be motivated by two major themes. Knowledge and people. Whether it is exploring a new country, climbing a new mountain, or meeting new people, nothing excites me more than sharing experiences with others. I have gratefully carried this mindset with me as an engineer, boxer, firefighter, traveler, and volunteer.

My goal is to open the eyes of those who have felt adventure in the outdoors is an unaffordable luxury due to their circumstances. As a first generation American it was apparent that people of color only explore the outdoors if their lives are stable enough. When in fact, the planet has a unique ability to give stability back to us.”

SEEKING JUDHUIR

Ahmad, a first-generation Lebanese-American, embarks on the challenging Lebanon Mountain Trail, inviting his father, who fled during the civil war, on a symbolic journey as they collectively face cultural wounds, rediscover their connection to the land, and revive the inherent bond between the Lebanese people and the outdoors, scarred by the lingering impact of war.
